Description
We are currently seeking a volunteer Peer Support Specialist to work directly with caregivers and families. The Peer Support Specialist will provide resources, build relationships, mentor, and assist in setting goals. This position works with a culturally diverse population and in conjunction with the Meeting Facilitator to support program participants.

Personal qualities include being dynamic, energetic, collaborative, and a team member focused on providing administrative assistance to one or more departments for the organization.
Experience:
- Masters/Bachelors degree in Psychology
- Master of Social Work (MSW)
- Experience with mental health and/or addiction
- Experience with locating relevant support services
- Group facilitation (desired)
Responsibilities: (includes but not limited to)
- Responds to emails in a professional manner
- Helps engage individuals in the process of MHRCET programs and services
- Assists with group planning and development
- Curriculum design, development, and review
- Training peer support staff/volunteers
- Develops relationships with community resources
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Organized with time management skills
- Relevant skills in exercising initiative, good judgment and sound decision-making
- Communicates effectively both orally and in writing
- Works well independently or in a team setting
- Confident utilizing office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Tech savvy (must be comfortable and familiar with using a computer, laptop, etc.)

MHRCET strives to deliver services and support necessary to improve the quality of life for children, youth, and adults with mental illness and addictive disorders.
Applicants must have voice and video capabilities in order to conduct and follow-up with interviews.
